FINAL MAJOR PROJECT BRIEF

If These Walls Could Talk

what does it mean to capture a true essence? what surpasses when the physical nature of something is lost? with creatives in abundance trying to confront this dilemma, their mediums show a diverse range of attempts in doing just that. artwork, photography, film, literature and music all hold a uniqueness in allowing an audience to perceive another's perception, though just how far do these succeed? how accurate can translation be? are we able to visibly measure and solidify the passing effect of all that is?

this project aims to transform the configuration of how we give life to all we hold dear and more, using the means of jewellery design and production as an appropriate mouthpiece. through experimentation with the Chladni model and Cymatics, I intend to test the capabilities of how sound can inform the creation of jewellery, and if it is possible that patterns and shapes created are at all accurately readable or transferable inside a wearable item.

(1*) in the underground listening to Jeff Buckley tell me to forget someone bound to break me or already has and I'm yawning I don’t know if I'm tired or lacking oxygen but apparently that’s not true I struggle to believe that.

(2*) I got a pound on this table giving the group ahead some evil eye they don’t know I'm about to make an example of how to do nothing very impressive at all the colours are just nice on my eyes that’s why I'm here.

(3*) 9-year-old me sung this in the car staring out the window wistfully like I had faced this kind of adversity ever in my whole life the only problems I knew were that of avoiding stepping on cracks for my poor mother's sake.
